{"id":248,"date":"2015-07-10T12:17:27","date_gmt":"2015-07-10T16:17:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.floridacitrus.org\/newsroom\/?post_type=fdoc-news-item&amp;p=248"},"modified":"2015-07-10T12:17:27","modified_gmt":"2015-07-10T16:17:27","slug":"last-citrus-forecast-of-season-shows-slight-increase-in-florida-oranges","status":"publish","type":"fdoc-news-item","link":"https:\/\/www.floridacitrus.org\/grower\/fr\/fdoc-news-item\/last-citrus-forecast-of-season-shows-slight-increase-in-florida-oranges\/","title":{"rendered":"Last citrus forecast of season shows slight increase in Florida Oranges"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>BARTOW, Fla. \u2013 The final report of the season issued Friday by the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.nass.usda.gov\/\">National Agricultural Statistics Service<\/a>\u00a0of the U.S. Department of Agriculture projected a slight increase\u00a0over last month in the size of this season\u2019s Florida Orange crop.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The July\u00a0forecast\u00a0estimated\u00a0Florida Orange production for the 2014-15 season at 96.7 million boxes. Florida Grapefruit production\u00a0was\u00a0projected at 12.950 million boxes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>According to Florida Department of Citrus Executive Director Doug Ackerman, \u201cThis report provides us\u00a0with some closure on a difficult year\u00a0for the industry.
