BARTOW, Fla. \u2013 A Florida Department of Citrus employee won a national\u00a0design contest and will have her artwork featured on a special edition knife sold in stores this fall.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Designer Mimi Williamson entered the Victorinox Swiss Army North America design contest with a photograph she captured overlooking Star Lake in Alturas, Fla.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Fans voted for their favorite knife design through a website,\u00a0and the top three winning designs were chosen to be featured on knives that will be sold at select Sports Authority locations beginning Oct. 1.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Williamson said she knew the photograph was special the moment she took it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cIt\u2019s the only day I\u2019ve ever seen the sky that color,\u201d she said.\u00a0 \u201cI\u2019m just humbled and honored to have won.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In addition to the special edition knife, Williamson will receive a $1,000 Victorinox Swiss Army prize pack and a $1,000 Sports Authority gift card.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Williamson, a native of Bartow, Fla., has worked for the Department since 1993.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
