The reduction translates into a projected loss of $1.325 million in revenue for the Florida Department of Citrus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThis reduced forecast underscores the magnitude of the challenge facing the Florida Citrus industry,\u201d said Shannon Shepp, executive director of the Florida Department of Citrus. \u201cOur growers won\u2019t stop working, the scientists won\u2019t stop working, and, of course, neither will the Department. Given the dynamics with which we started this season, our staff has already engaged in budget reduction planning exercises.
