National Agricultural Statistics Service<\/a>\u00a0of the U.S. Department of Agriculture projected a slight increase in Florida\u2019s orange production.<\/p>\n\n\n\nThe\u00a0report\u00a0predicts a nearly 3 percent increase in the state\u2019s orange production, to 72 million boxes, while grapefruit held steady at 9.6 million boxes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The FDOC, which is partially funded by box taxes paid by the state\u2019s citrus growers, serves as the chief marketing and promotion arm for the industry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
