Florida Citrus grower in the running for Southeastern Farmer of the Year Awar

Vic Story Jr. is in the running for the 2015 Swisher Sweets/Sunbelt Expo Southeastern Farmer of the Year award, according to The Ledger.

Story, who serves as president and chairman of the board of The Story Companies, was recently honored as the Florida Farmer of the Year. He competes against nine other state winners for the Southeastern honor. The award will be presented in October at the annual Sunbelt Ag Expo – the country’s largest farm show.

Story has helped lead his family’s business since 1965. He is the past president of Florida Citrus Mutual and Polk County Farm Bureau and is a recipient of the Florida Grower Citrus Achievement Award.
