Ingredients

  • ½ cup Florida Orange Juice
  • 1 tbsp. vegetable oil
  • 1 lb. ground turkey
  • ½ cup yellow onion, diced
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1 tbsp. chili powder
  • 1 tsp. garlic powder
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. black pepper
  • ¼ tsp. cumin
  • 1 (7 to 12-oz.) bag baked tortilla chips
  • 1 cup Colby jack cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • Salsa
  • Guacamole
  • Sour cream or Greek yogurt

Preparation

Step 1:

Preheat oven to 450 degrees F.

Step 2:

Heat vegetable oil in large skillet over high heat.

Step 3:

Add onion and ground turkey; sauté until light brown.

Step 4:

Add garlic and sprinkle with chili powder, garlic powder, salt, pepper and cumin; stir to combine.

Step 5:

Add Florida Orange Juice and simmer about 5 minutes until the liquid is almost gone and meat is thoroughly cooked.

Step 6:

Place tortilla chips in large, heatproof shallow dish or on pizza pan.

Step 7:

Distribute meat mixture over chips; sprinkle with both cheeses and the green onions.

Step 8:

Bake until cheese is melted, about 5 to 8 minutes.

Step 9:

Serve immediately with salsa, guacamole, sour cream and enjoy.
