Ingredients

  • 1 cup Florida Orange Juice
  • 2 large red onions, thinly sliced
  • 5 cups water, boiling
  • ½ cup lime juice
  • 1 tbsp. sugar
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • Large Mason jar

Preparation

1. Place sliced red onions into large mixing bowl.

2. Boil water and pour over sliced red onions.

3. Fully cover the red onion slices in boiling water for 10 seconds and drain.

4. Transfer drained red onion slices into large Mason jar.

5. Mix the Florida Orange Juice, lime juice, sugar and salt together in a separate bowl.

6. Pour the mixture over the red onions and let sit, covered, for at least 4 hours.
