Ingredients

Ingredients

  • ½ cup Florida Orange Juice
  • 2 cups Florida Orange, segments, seeded
  • ½ cup Florida Grapefruit, segments, seeded
  • 4 cups cherries, pitted, juice reserved
  • 1 ½ cups sugar
  • 1 tbsp. lemon juice
  • 3 tbsp. cornstarch
  • 2 tbsp. unsalted butter
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 6 tbsp. light brown sugar
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • ½ tsp. cinnamon
  • 3 tbsp. unsalted butter
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 3 tbsp. milk

Instructions

For Filling:

  1. Combine cherries and Florida Orange Juice, reserved cherry juice, sugar, lemon juice, and cornstarch in a medium saucepan. Bring to a simmer, stirring constantly. Cook for 1 minute and remove from heat. Add butter and stir until melted. Cool and add Florida Orange and Florida Grapefruit segments. Pour filling into baking dish or pie pan.

For Topping:

  1. Combine flour, sugar, baking powder, and cinnamon in a food processor. Add butter and pulse a few times until butter is cut into small, pea-sized pieces. Remove flour mixture from food processor and place mixture in a mixing bowl. Add egg and milk and stir just until combined, do not over mix. Drop topping mixture by tablespoons over filling until it is almost covered. Bake in a 350°F oven until topping is browned and filling is bubbling and hot. Remove from oven and cool slightly before serving.
