Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 ounces freshly squeezed Florida Grapefruit juice
  • Florida Grapefruit twist (for garnish)
  • 1 3/4 ounces brandy
  • 1/3 ounce simple syrup (adjust to taste)
  • 2 dashes of bitters
  • 1 egg white
  • 1 ounce sparkling water (to top)
  • Ice cubes

Instructions

  1. Dry shake – in a cocktail shaker, add brandy, Florida Grapefruit Juice, simple syrup, bitters, and egg white. Shake vigorously without ice for 15-20 seconds to create a frothy texture.
  2. Wet shake – add ice cubes to the shaker and shake again for another 15 seconds to chill the drink.
  3. Strain & serve – strain into a chilled coupe or rocks glass filled with fresh ice.
  4. Top with sparkling water – pour a light splash of sparkling water to enhance the effervescence.
  5. Garnish & enjoy – garnish with a slice of Florida Grapefruit or a twist of zest for an extra citrusy aroma.
