Francisco Pines – Florida Orange Herb Chicken

The versatility of Florida Orange Juice makes my meals come alive with amazing flavor — just like this recipe, my favorite Florida Orange Herb Chicken. This hearty and easy-to-make meal is great for entertaining friends and family.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup Florida Orange Juice
  • 1 Florida Orange, sliced
  • 1 lemon, sliced
  • 1 tsp. onion powder
  • 1 tbsp. Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 tsp. paprika
  • Pinch of salt and pepper
  • 1/4 cup of olive oil
  • 4 cloves of garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp. sugar
  • 1/4 tsp. crushed red pepper flakes
  • 10 to 12 pieces of chicken

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400° F.
  2. Whisk together Florida Orange Juice, olive oil, garlic, sugar, lemon juice, Italian seasoning, paprika, onion powder, red pepper flakes, salt and pepper.
  3. Place chicken, skin side up, in a rimmed 9 x 13 baking dish.
  4. Pour Florida Orange Herb marinade over chicken, turning pieces to coat all sides.
  5. Arrange slices of lemon, Florida Orange and onion around and under the chicken.
  6. Sprinkle thyme, rosemary, salt and pepper generously over chicken.
  7. Bake uncovered for about one hour or until chicken is tender.
  8. Garnish cooked chicken with remaining fresh chopped herbs.
