1Ingredients
Orange Simple Syrup
- 1 cup Florida Orange Juice
- 1 cup granulated sugar
Orange Espresso Martini
- 1½ ounces vodka
- 1½ ounces freshly brewed espresso, cooled
- 1½ ounces orange simple syrup
- Ice cubes for shaking
Garnishes
- 1 teaspoon dark chocolate shavings
- ½ teaspoon fresh orange zest
- 3 coffee beans
Instructions
- Make the orange simple syrup: Add sugar and orange juice to a small pot and heat over medium-high heat. Bring to a gentle boil, then reduce heat to maintain a simmer for 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally until sugar is completely dissolved.
- Remove the simple syrup from the heat, transfer to another container, and let cool completely before using in cocktails. This can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 7 days.
- In a cocktail shaker, combine vodka, cooled espresso, and orange simple syrup. Dry shake vigorously for 30 seconds without ice.
- Add ice cubes to the shaker and shake vigorously again for another 30 seconds to chill and create foam.
- Double strain the mixture into a chilled coupe or martini glass.
- Garnish with chocolate shavings, fresh orange zest, and 3 coffee beans floated on top.
