Ingredients

Enjoy a crispy Tonkatsu drizzled with a Florida grapefruit ponzu dressing, offering a perfect balance of tangy and savory.

  • 2 pork loin chops
  • ½ cup panko
  • 2 tbsp. flour
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 cup oil for frying
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Florida Grapefruit Ponzu Dressing Ingredients:

  • 1 Florida Grapefruit, peeled, and segmented and juiced (1/2 cup)
  • 1 tsp. Florida Grapefruit zest
  • ½ cup soy sauce
  • 1 tsp. mirin

Instructions

  1. Between two pieces of wax paper, pound the pork loin into a flat cutlet then season with salt and pepper.
  2. Add oil to pan and bring to a medium heat.
  3. Cover the cutlet with flour, then egg, followed by a generous amount of panko crumbs.
  4. Fry the cutlet in oil for 3–5 minutes per side until golden brown.
  5. For the Florida Grapefruit Ponzu dressing, combine all ingredients in a bowl and cover, refrigerate for 1 hour.
  6. Serve over rice with ponzu dressing and Florida Grapefruit segments.
